Flying with KLM partners

If you will travel (part of) your journey with one of our partners, their service may differ from KLM’s. Below you will find the most important differences.

About our partners

To offer you more flights to more destinations, KLM is part of the SkyTeam alliance, and has teamed up with many other airlines (‘code share’). With our partners, we continuously work together to make your journey just as enjoyable as when flying with KLM.

In general you can expect:

  • Check-in and receiving boarding passes for all flights in your journey, and having your baggage labelled through to your final destination.
  • Your baggage allowance for your whole journey is stated on your ticket. If you’d like to take extra or special baggage, the baggage fees of the airline you will fly with apply. Please check the specific baggage rules that apply for taking hand baggage, extra baggage or special baggage on the airline’s website.
  • Flying Blue members can earn and burn Miles with all SkyTeam partners.
  • On board you will be served complementary drinks, meals and/or snacks, depending on the duration of your flight and the time of day.

When travelling with other airlines however you may encounter differences, such as in check-in options, seat types, meals and other services. Below you will find the most important differences per airline.

Which airline(s) you will be flying with, is shown when you book on KLM.com; in the e-mail of your booking confirmation and via My Trip.
