The unstoppable growth of ID&T

Success stories often have a modest start, but that doesn’t apply to Sensation. In the nineties, house music experienced an unstoppable growth. Childhood friends from Landsmeer – Irfan, Duncan and Theo (ID&T) – made a name with hardcore, trance and techno parties, such as Thunderdome, Trance Energy and Mysteryland. Even before the millennium, ID&T had become the largest party organiser in the Netherlands. In 2000 they added a new event to their line-up: Sensation. The event starts off huge. The first edition takes place in the Amsterdam ArenA and has room for 40,000 revellers. Although the first Sensation wasn’t a sell-out event, every other edition that followed was, rapidly. This year, tickets to Sensation ‘The Legacy’ sold out within a matter of hours. Thanks to KLM there are still a few packages available, including flight and hotel.
