Getting around the city

The most convenient way to get around Entebbe is by taxi: metered cabs are available from the taxi stand in the Kitoro area, or by telephone. A slightly cheaper option is the ubiquitous boda-bodas (motorcycle taxis); however, accidents are very common with irresponsible drivers, so it is best to get a recommendation for a good driver from a trusted individual.

Currency

The official currency is the Ugandan Shilling (UGX), which is divided into 100 cents. Getting to the city

Shuttle buses operate a service to Serena Hotel, Speke Resort, Hotel Africana and other major hotels. The journey takes up to an hour to reach central Kampala.

Hertz and Europcar operate at the airport.

Airport taxi's

Airport taxis provide a direct service to Kampala.

Transfer between terminals

Passengers should not need to transfer to the second terminal, as it is for cargo only.

Public payphones are located in departures and arrivals, and cellular telephone services are also available. There are 24-hour banks and bureaux de change in both the Departure Hall and the Arrival Hall.
