Practical Info about Nantes

Getting around the city

Public transport in Nantes is provided by the TAN network, which consists of three modern tram lines, a bus network, and an express 'Busway' service. Buses run from 5am to 9pm, with limited night service until 12:30am. Tickets, sold from machines at each station, are good on all forms of transport and allow free transfer within a specified time period. Daily and monthly passes are available. Taxi service is infrequent, but taxis can be found at designated waiting spots near Place du Commerce and the train station. Nantes is also a bicycle-friendly city, with dedicated lanes and a city-wide bike-rental scheme called Bicloo.
