Praktisk information Brest, Frankrike

Förflytta sig i staden

Visitors to Brest will find that their options for getting around are somewhat limited. The easiest modes of public transport are the city's simple bus and tram systems. The bus company that services Brest is called BIBUS, and they have routes that cover most of the key areas of the city and its suburbs. The frequency of services in Brest depends on which route one is travelling and it is best to consult a timetable and plan journeys in advance. As Brest is a small city, visitors are likely to want to travel further afield on day trips. It is therefore useful to hire a car during ones stay in Brest, as this affords visitors greater freedom. Most international car hire companies have a presence in Brest and offices can be found at the airport or close to the railway station in the city centre. Taxis are also an option for visitors in Brest, but fares are expensive and negotiating a better price will be difficult for those that don't speak French.
