Spain's official currency is the Euro (EUR). One Euro is divided into 100 cents. Money can be exchanged at bureaux de change and major hotels, but banks give the best rates. The international access code for Spain is +34. Pay phones are either blue or green and few accept coins, so buying phone cards, which are sold at post offices, tobacco shops and newsagents, is the best option. Mobile phone operators provide thorough GSM 900/1800 coverage throughout the country and the Balearic and Canary Islands. Email and internet access is available at internet cafes in most towns and resorts.
Buses, trains and taxis all serve Malaga airport. A bus leaving to Malaga city centre departs regularly and the journey takes only 15 minutes. Taxis outside the airport add airport carrying charges and take approximately 20 minutes to reach the city. There are regular trains to Malaga, Torremolinos and Fuengirola.
Car rental companies represented at the airport include Avis, Europcar and Hertz, among others.
Taxis can be found outside the arrivals area of the terminal building. Fares are higher at night.
The three terminals are adjacent and connected.
Facilities at the airport include a bank, ATMs, currency exchange, restaurants and bars, shops, a post office, the National Museum of Air Navigation and Transport and a VIP lounge.
There is plenty of short- and long-term parking available at Malaga Airport.
Free wifi and internet kiosks are available.
