There are many options for getting around Norwich, as the city centre is flat and fairly compact. Many visitors opt to hire a car, as the roads are easy to follow and traffic is relatively polite; however, travellers who opt not to drive will find the city buses, operated by FirstGroup, are a convenient means of reaching local destinations like the train station, riverside entertainment district, the university, and the airport. Single tickets and day passes are available from ticket machines at the bus stops. Metered taxis are also available, but the city centre is small enough to explore on foot comfortably.

The currency is the British Pound (GBP), which is divided into 100 pence. Abellio Greater Anglia and East Midlands Trains run rail services to Norwich city from London, and the Norwich rail station is located in the city centre, which can be accessed by either taxi or bus. First Eastern Counties Buses offer a service on bus 27 from Hellesdon, which is within walking distance of the airport, to the city centre.


Car rental companies operating at the airport include Avis, Hertz and Europcar.


Norwich Airport Taxis are the official taxi service operating at the airport and the taxi rank is located adjacent to the main terminal building.


Facilities at the airport include foreign exchange, an executive lounge, an airport hotel, first aid facilities, information counter, duty-free shopping, a café, and a bar and cafeteria. Note that the airport is a smoke-free zone.


Short-term parking is free for the first 15 minutes. Long-term parking starts from a daily rate of £30.
