Reflection in Auschwitz
Visit the former Jewish quarter of Krakow: Kazimierz. Prior to the Second World War, this neighbourhood was home to one of the largest Jewish communities in Poland. The film Schindler’s List was shot here, and since then the neighbourhood has been redeveloped and is now once again a lively district where people go to eat and drink. Sombre and imposing, but a visit to the Auschwitz concentration camp is also a must for anyone travelling to Krakow. The former camp lies approximately 60 kilometres outside of the city. A memorial site that will leave a lasting impression.
