This is the biggest and busiest airport in Africa, serving over 19 million passengers a year. The airport is well connected, and many hotels offer shuttle buses directly to the airport. Taxis are also readily available, but make sure you use an authorised metred taxi. If you want to use public transport, the Gautrain is a rapid rail system that runs about every 12 minutes.
This is the second-busiest airport in South Africa, so you need to make sure you allow plenty of time to get to your flight. The airport is easy to reach, with the MyCiTi shuttle bus running every 20 minutes from Civic Centre bus station. The charge differs depending on the time you take it. If you want to take a taxi, this will be more expensive but will only take about 20 minutes. Just make sure you only use officially licensed taxis.
