New Facebook Game Launch

Montréal, April 9, 2011 – KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launched Design Your Kite with KLM, a new original game for its Canadian Facebook fans giving them the opportunity to design and win their own personal kite.

Entrants will be able to use the game’s preset patterns and their own Facebook pictures to personalize their kites. They will then be able to invite their friends to vote for their creation for a chance to instantly win one of 300 KLM kites. At the end of the contest, a kite maker will be commissioned to craft the 4 kites with the most votes, and these will be awarded to their designers.

The contest, which coincides with the arrival of spring, will also give fans of the KLMCanada Facebook page the opportunity to share their kite-flying pictures and chat about their favourite kite-flying spots in their area.

The contest ends May 6, 2012. Entrants must be 18, reside in Canada and go to  and click the “Like” button. The number of entries is unlimited. The pictures of the winning kite designs must be copyright free and be high resolution to be reproduced on the kite fabric. Other conditions apply and are available on the contest page.
