10 July 2012 | 30 international destinations in Africa, the Middle East and Europe are now even easier to reach.
SkyTeam has welcomed Middle East Airlines (MEA) as its 17th member! From its home base Beirut, MEA flies to a whopping 30 international destinations in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
With this addition to the global alliance you can now travel to Lebanon even easier, both for business and for pleasure. SkyTeam members Alitalia, Air France, Aeroflot, Saudia and TAROM fly to Beirut, providing additional connections through their hubs in Europe and the Middle East. This is especially convenient for the many Lebanese in the United States, Canada or Brazil, who can now take a connecting flight in Paris and Rome.
"With the accession of MEA to SkyTeam, we can offer our customers more travel options to and from Lebanon. This is important given the strong trading bond of the latter with the Gulf region, Asia, Africa and the Americas; regions where SkyTeam has a strong presence,” according to Michael Wisbrun, director of SkyTeam.
