Best Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions KLM Japan
I- General terms and conditions for:
After having booked an KLM economy class ticket on www.klm.co.jp website, if you find, on the day of your purchase before midnight, an equivalent offer (*1), at a lower price, somewhere else than KLM web site, KLM will offer you a voucher with the amount of the difference plus JPY 5000 （hereinafter referred to Refund）. This guarantee applies for a difference of at least JPY 1000, KLM economy class ticket only for exactly the same flight, itinerary, and booking class (same fare conditions (*2)) purchased on the same day as the original www.klm.co.jp. This guarantee shall be also subject to the complete Best Price Guarantee terms and conditions below:
II- Guarantee requirements:
Within the context, claims qualifying for a refund must fulfill all the requirements in accordance with the processing procedures detailed below. All claims must be sent by midnight (Japan time) on the very day the KLM ticket is purchased on www.klm.co.jp.
KLM (and not the passenger submitting the claim) must be able to check the existence of the lower published price at the time of claim and that the lower price does not exist on www.klm.co.jp.
Any other evidence submitted by the passenger will not be accepted (for example, via fax, phone, etc.). (2)KLM reserves the right to request for acceptable evidence such as screenshot stating the prices available on another website(s) but fares shown as ‘from JPY XXXX’ will not be accepted, only the final confirmed price will be acceptable evidence. (3)The guarantee is valid only for lower prices found for exactly the same flight, itinerary, and booking class (same fare conditions(*2)), purchased on the same day as the original www.klm.co.jp online purchase. (4)The compared tickets must have been purchased from a Japanese point of sale. Moreover, the lower price should be booked with the same billing address and have the same currency as the ticket purchased from www.klm.co.jp. (5)The guarantee is only valid if the claim is made by the person whose name is mentioned on the ticket. (6)The guarantee only applies for flights exclusively operated by KLM and for return tickets with the outbound flight originating in Japan with destination Europe, Africa or South America.
(7)This guarantee applies only for price difference of at least JPY1000. There is no limit to the amount for a request. The price to be compared includes airfare, surcharges, all taxes, service fees and other fees (if any).
Please use the Best Price Guarantee Request Form to submit a claim and please attach the quotation/document which shows flight availability, booking class and fare conditions from the Distributor.
III- Guarantee Offer:
A « Travel Credit Voucher » will be granted to the claimant corresponding to the price difference plus JPY 5000, for a return ticket Japan to Europe- Japan to Africa- Japan to South America, fulfilling the requirements of the guarantee hereby described. In order to book a flight using the « Travel Credit Voucher », please contact KLM Reservation offices phone number. The "Travel Credit Voucher" is valid for one year, from the date of issue for full or partial payment of a KLM ticket and only valid for the passenger who bought the ticket online. No extension will be granted. It is unnecessary to present the « Travel Credit Voucher » to issue the ticket but it is important to keep the receipt when the booking is made. For any reason, the « Travel Credit Voucher » will not be replaced. Any « Travel Credit Vouchers» bought or sold in an auction will be liable to seizure or cancellation, and the trip will not be authorized. By using the « Travel Credit Voucher », individuals accept the general terms and conditions and agree to comply with its terms.
IV- Submitting a claim:
To submit a claim on Best Price Guarantee to KLM, please fill out the Best Price Guarantee Request form.
Please attach the quotation/document which shows flight availability, booking class and fare conditions from the Distributor.
V- Guarantee exceptions:
The Best Price Guarantee only applies to economy class fares available to the general public. The Best Price Guarantee is not available to following prices:
- Special fares (corporate discount fares, soldiers, ethnic, students, typological and other discount codes),
- Package fares - fares sold as part of a travel package (and customized flights),
- Fares where the carrier or itinerary details are unknown until after purchase and other discount fares,
- Corporate fares, meetings and conference fares, wholesaler fares and other discount fares,
- Price difference smaller than JPY 1000.
- Business Class
VI- Other conditions:
KLM reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time without notice.
Under no circumstances will KLM be liable for any expenses incurred following the cancellation of a booking on www.klm.co.jp or elsewhere.
*1 equivalent offer = offer of air tickets for exactly the same KLM flights, itinerary, booking class and the same fare conditions.
*2 same fare conditions = fare conditions include ticketing time limit, cancellations/changes conditions or fee, minimum and maximum stay, possibility for stopovers.
*3 final confirmed price = the total price including airfare, surcharges, all taxes, service fees and other fees (if any).
