Payment methods

What payment options are offered?

On Shop@KLM you can pay with iDeal, various credit cards and with Flying Blue Miles. Please note: it is not possible to transfer money from your bank to KLM.

How does paying with iDeal work?

In the Netherlands, KLM offers the option of paying with iDeal. This is paying from your own familiar online banking environment. You go through the same familiar steps as you do when you use internet banking. The advantage is that the payment is ready for you with all the necessary details. It is easy to use and follows your bank’s familiar security requirements. This payment option is available for clients of the ABN AMRO Bank, Rabobank, SNS Bank, Fortis and ING. Do you not have a Dutch bank account? Then you can also pay with a credit card.

Can I pay with my credit card?

You can pay for your order with the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard and American Express. In order to protect your details, these are sent encoded through SSL servers to avoid access by third parties. Your credit card payment is authorised at the moment that you place your order. Only when your order is delivered to you is the amount deducted from your credit card. If it is not possible to deliver the entire order, the remaining amount is refunded to your account.

Discount code

I have received a discount code. How can I use it?

You can fill out your discount count while paying for your order in our shop. Your discount is then directly deducted from the total purchase amount.

I get a message that I have not filled in a valid discount code.

Check that you have filled in the exact code (the code is capital letter sensitive). Check that the code is still valid. Should you still have problems, please contact us.

Flying Blue Miles

Can I also pay with Flying Blue Miles?

Yes, you can spend Flying Blue Miles for all items that can be delivered during your flight (excluding alcohol and tobacco). If applicable, this is offered as a payment option per item. You can see directly how many Miles you need for your purchase. You can purchase up to 9 items using your Flying Blue Miles.

Can I also earn Flying Blue Miles when I place an order?

Yes, you earn Flying Blue Miles for every purchase on Shop@KLM. When placing your order fill in your Flying Blue number. The number of Flying Blue Miles you earn is stated for every item. Note: this number may vary according to delivery method. We try to credit your Miles to your account as soon as possible, and within 45 days.

My Flying Blue Miles have not been credited to my account. What should I do?

If after 45 days your Flying Blue Miles have still not been credited to your account, please contact us.
