Tickets for KLM Package Deals are only available in the Dutch market. The Package Deals fares are only valid on departure from Schiphol.

Airtrade

By booking a KLM Package Deal you enter into an agreement with Airtrade. Airtrade is a member of the ANVR and SGR, which guarantees you a properly insured holiday. You will receive your travel documents, including KLM e-tickets and hotel/car vouchers from Airtrade by e-mail. Airtrade’s customer service team are available to answer any questions you might have about your booking.

Expedia (hotels)

KLM’s partnership with Expedia assures you a wide range of offers at attractive rates. Expedia has a fine selection of hotels with at least three stars.

What are KLM Package Deals?

KLM Package Deals, powered by Airtrade, are a great way to compose your ideal package trip. Who is Airtrade?

KLM offers KLM Package Deals in partnership with Airtrade, a travel fulfilment and travel technology company established in 1989. Airtrade aims to ensure the satisfaction of hundreds of thousands of travellers and holiday-makers. Around 70 enthusiastic and dedicated staff work at the Airtrade office in Haarlem to achieve this goal.

Airtrade is affiliated to IATA, ANVR and SGRZ, and part of the BCD Group. Its service team is ready to answer any questions you might have.

Which services are part of a Package Deal? All of KLM’s reliable services and the benefits of Flying Blue also apply to all flights booked as part of a Package Deal (except flights operated by Transavia).

Do the benefits of Flying Blue also apply to Package Deals?

Yes, all the advantages of Flying Blue also apply for flights booked as part of your Package Deal (except flights operated by Transavia). What’s more, these flights also count towards your Flying Blue membership level if flown by the cardholder. 

Can I earn Flying Blue Miles with my Package Deal?

Yes, you can earn Flying Blue Miles on your Package Deal flights in accordance with the relevant terms and conditions of the Flying Blue programme. Flying Blue Miles will only be awarded to the passengers who actually use the flight ticket.

Can I pay for my Package Deal or get an upgrade with Flying Blue Miles or EMD voucher?

With your Flying Blue Miles you can buy a Package Deals discount voucher in the Flying Blue Store  for EUR 100 (27.250 Miles) or EUR 200 (54.500 Miles) per booking. You can also use your Miles to book a suitcase, meal or specific seat via klm.nl, My Trip. Log in with your booking code. Payment with an EMD voucher is only possible for separate flights, not as part of a Package Deal.

Can I earn Blue Credits on a Package Deal?

Yes, you will earn Blue Credits on the flights in your Package Deal according to the terms and conditions of the BlueBiz programme. Remember to enter your BlueBiz number when purchasing your Package Deal.

Where can I buy a Package Deal?

Can I choose any destination as part of a Package Deal?

All destinations to which KLM and its partners (such as Transavia) fly can be part of a Package Deal. This includes both European and intercontinental destinations.

Where can I see how often and at what times KLM flies to my desired destination?

Does the outbound flight in my Package Deal have to depart from Amsterdam?

KLM Package Deals provide a choice of several departure points within the Netherlands. That means you can book a Package Deal with Transavia flights departing from Rotterdam, Maastricht of Eindhoven, for instance. Departure points outside the Netherlands are not available within a Package Deal, however.

Can I book a return flight from a different destination from that of my outbound flight?

No, this is unfortunately not possible at the moment.

How many days before departure can I book a Package Deal?

Package Deals can be booked from 360 days to four days prior to departure.

What is the minimum and maximum stay with a Package Deal?

The minimum duration for a KLM Package Deal is two nights and the maximum stay is 29 nights.

Are there any extra costs or supplements to pay when booking a Package Deal?

There is a €10 booking fee per booking and a €2.50 contribution to the calamity fund.

Other costs, such as a tourist tax and resort fees, can apply in some situations. These cannot be included in the hotel price and will be mentioned separately. A resort fee is a mandatory supplement for the use of hotel services or facilities and is usually only required in the United States. The supplement always has to be paid, even if you are not planning to make use of the services and facilities involved.  

Is check-in baggage included in the price of a Package Deal?

No, in most cases check-in baggage is not included with the flights. You can check this when making your booking by looking for the suitcase icon next to the flight details, as shown below.

Can I pass on any requests to the hotel?

Yes, if you have any specific requests such as separate beds, a higher floor or a sea view, contact the Airtrade service team on 088-24787 90 or via klmpackagedeals@airtrade.nl. Please note that no guarantees can be given regarding these preferences.

Is it possible to book more than one hotel at a time within a Package Deal?

No, this is currently not possible. What you can do is book a hotel for just a part of your trip. This option can be selected when making a search, but use this link: https://klmpackagedeals.klm.nl/

Which names should I fill in when booking a Package Deal?

Fill in your name exactly as it is stated in your passport. If you have more than one given name, you only need to give your first name exactly as it is marked in your passport. If you are married you only need to give your maiden name. Once you have booked, you may notice that the names on your ticket are marked in a different order, without spaces and with MR, MRS or MS inserted between the names. If you have entered your name wrongly, you will have to pay a supplement to correct it.

Are other discounts available on a Package Deal for babies (0-1 years) or children (younger than 12)?

Yes, and this discount will be included in the total price. The price per person is the total price divided by the number of all passengers. A child that is one year old or younger on both legs of the flight must travel on the lap of a parent or accompanying adult.

What type of insurance is included with the car hire?

The following insurances are included in the price of a Package Deal with car hire:
  • Unlimited kilometres
  • Extra general liability cover of €7.5 million
  • Damage (CDW)
  • Theft (TP)
  • Excess reimbursement
  • Cover for damage to the glass, tyres, floor or roof

This means you do not need to sign any additional insurance when picking up the car. The lead booker of the trip is the main driver of the hire car, who must be between 25 and 65 years of age (please contact Airtrade if you are outside that age range). The main driver must be in possession of a valid credit card (with pin code) in his/her name.

What are the payment options for my Package Deal?

You can pay with iDEAL, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. It is not possible to pay in instalments.

Can I make changes to my Package Deal after it has been paid?

This is only possible if allowed by the fare terms and conditions of the selected service providers (airlines, hotels and car hire companies). This must be calculated separately for each package component. All of the costs that the service provider charges in case of a change will be paid by the client. Airtrade charges an administration fee of €35 per person for each change of a booking or parts thereof.

Can I correct a name?

This is only possible if allowed by the terms and conditions of the selected service providers (airlines, hotels and car hire companies). There may be additional charges from the service provider. Can I cancel my Package Deal?

The cancellation of a Package Deal is subject to a 100% cancellation fee, unless the fare terms and references of the chosen service providers (airlines, hotels and car hire companies) allow cancellations. In this case you will be reimbursed the amount in whole or in part. Airtrade will charge an administration fee of €35 per person. It is not possible to cancel only some parts of your Package Deal. In case of a cancellation, all elements of the Package Deal will be cancelled.

Can I transfer a Package Deal to someone else?

This is possible as long as all the service providers involved in the Package Deal booking (airlines, hotels and car hire companies) agree to such a change in their terms and conditions. Airtrade charges an administration fee of €35 per person.
