KLM Bus from Nijmegen/Arnhem to Schiphol

If you live in or near Nijmegen or Arnhem and fly from Amsterdam Schiphol, you can travel to and from the airport for free and in comfort with the KLM Bus.

How it works

KLM Busservice Nijmegen/Arnhem-Schiphol

To travel with the KLM Bus between Nijmegen/Arnhem and Schiphol, just follow these simple steps:

  • Book a KLM ticket on KLM.com to your destination with Nijmegen or Arnhem as the starting point, free of charge.
  • The KLM bus will take you to Schiphol airport from the Central Station in Nijmegen (Burgemeester Hustinxstraat) (click here  for the exact location) or Arnhem (Sonsbeekzijde, Amsterdamse weg) (click here  for the exact location) efficiently and comfortably.
  • After arrival at Schiphol, check in and board your flight.
  • If you are travelling back the same way, the KLM bus will take you from the airport (Platform C – in front of Schiphol Plaza) (click here  for the exact location) to the Central Station in Nijmegen or Arnhem.

Note: the KLM-bus can be used only if the service is visibly included in your ticket. The itinerary shown on your ticket should begin and/or end in Arnhem or Nijmegen. If your ticket does not show these stretches, then you may contact your booking office to have the bus included in your ticket for free.

Checking in

To get on the bus, simply show your KLM ticket to the bus driver who has a passenger list in advance from KLM. You do not need to check in for the bus trip. Once you arrive at the airport, check yourself and your luggage in for your flight. You can do this quickly and easily via a self-service check-in machine.

Increased frequency for KLM Bus between Nijmegen/Arnhem and Schiphol

From 1 September onwards, the frequency of daily KLM Buses between Nijmegen/Arnhem and Schiphol in both directions will increase from two to three. Moreover, some of the buses will make stopovers in Veenendaal and in Rhenen.

Good to know

  • In Nijmegen and at Schiphol, boarding will be possible 20 minutes before departure time. Arnhem will be a quick pick-up, boarding will be possible a couple of minutes in advance.
  • Travelling with a group by KLM bus is possible, the only restriction is the capacity of the bus.
  • Your baggage allowance as stated on your ticket also applies to the part travelled by bus.
  • Bringing your (collapsible) wheelchair is possible. However, no wheelchair is available on the bus.
  • Children can travel in the bus – a separate seat is not required.
  • Bringing a bicycle, tandem, set of ski equipment or other special baggage is not allowed on the bus.
  • Travelling with pets is not allowed on the bus.
  • When you miss your KLM bus, you can always check in at the airport if you make it in time.
  • If you have booked a KLM flight departing from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and you would like to depart from Nijmegen or Arnhem instead, please contact KLM Telephone Reservations or ask your travel agent.You can add the KLM Bus to your booking free of charge.
  • Flying Blue members  cannot earn Award Miles, Level Miles and/or qualifying flights on the KLM Bus between Nijmegen/Arnhem-Schiphol.
  • There is a toilet on the bus.
