- Dutch union FNV has announced a work stoppage of part of KLM's ground staff on Wednesday 4 September 2019, from 07:30 to 10:00. This is likely to lead to disruptions. KLM regrets this and will do its utmost to limit the inconvenience for its passengers. We therefore ask our passengers to carefully follow the information on the KLM website and the KLM App on Tuesday evening and Wednesday.

Baggage
Unfortunately, due to the work interruption, it will not be possible to bring check-in baggage on European flights that depart from or arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol between 07.30 and 10.00.
We would also like to ask our passengers to keep the hand baggage to a minimum to avoid having too much hand baggage in the cabin.
Passengers that depart or arrive at Schiphol after 10.00 AM are also advised to bring hand baggage instead of check-in baggage.
KLM deeply regrets this state of affairs and hopes to meet its passengers and to minimise the impact of the strike by continuing to transport as many passengers as possible. There is a possibility to rebook for free for passengers that don’t wish to travel without check-in baggage.

Due to the current situation in Hong Kong, some of our flights to, from or via Hong Kong International Airport may be disrupted. We strongly advise you to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to scheduled departure. If possible, please check in at the MTR in-town check-in offices in Kowloon and Hong Kong. The MTR in-town check-in offices are open from 05:30-20:50, the airport check-in counter "D" opens at 09:20.
Please note that it is currently not possible to purchase KLM tickets at a ticket office at Hong Kong International Airport. You can purchase your tickets online via KLM.com.

- Your safety is our first priority. At all times, we closely follow all changes in the airspace so that we can ensure the safety of the routes flown. Because of the recent incident with a drone, our aircraft will not fly over the Strait of Hormuz for the time being. This is a precautionary measure.
Due to runway maintenance, Linate Airport will be closed from 27 July 2019 to 27 October 2019. Because of this, all our flights to, from or via Linate Airport on these dates are cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience. Our flights to, from or via Milan Malpensa Airport are unaffected. But we would like to advise you to come to Milan Malpensa Airport earlier because it may be busier than normal, due to the closing of Linate airport.
