Transit information through Singapore

As of 01 February 2021, Air France (AF) and KLM (KL) customers are able to transit through Singapore Changi Airport on connecting flights operated by Garuda Indonesia (GA), Singapore Airlines (SQ) and SilkAir (MI) as part of its interline agreement with the airlines.

Air France and KLM have interline agreements with Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir allowing our customers to transit via Singapore from the following list of originating countries to specific cities in the GA, SQ and MI network via France or Netherlands:


United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Aruba, Curacao, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Lucia, Saint Martin, Sint Maarten, Cuba, Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, Trinidad and Tobago, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius & Saba, British Virgin Islands, Haiti, Turks and Caicos Islands, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Anguilla.

Connecting passengers should book the full journey on one ticket (no separate tickets) and should check-in to their final destination beyond Singapore. Baggage should also be checked in to the final destination. 

Customers should also ensure that they comply with the entry requirements of their final destination. 

Please note that transit time in Singapore should not exceed 48 hours. 

Upon arrival in Singapore, connecting passengers will be taken to a dedicated Transit Holding Area. When the onward flight is ready for boarding, connecting passengers will be guided to their departure gate.


Transit Hotel information


Customers requiring a transit hotel due to a layover of more than 6 hours before their next connecting flight should book the following transit hotel: 

Aerotel Singapore (located at Terminal 1, near boarding gate D41). 

Aerotel will provide a mandatory escort service from/to the Transfer Holding Area.
