Special Conditions
Special Conditions form part of the General Conditions of Carriage. Special Conditions contain the applicable rules that arise from local laws and regulations and that apply specifically in a particular country or region. Special Conditions may therefore deviate from the General Conditions of Carriage. You are expected to always read both the General Conditions of Carriage and the applicable Special Conditions of the country or region where you book your ticket.
Online booking
You can book flights for a maximum of 9 passengers (adults and children) per booking. Each adult may accompany one infant traveling on their lap.
Your booking is confirmed when you receive a booking reference. A confirmation e-mail containing all the details of your booking will also be sent to the e-mail address you provided.
Keep in mind that, in accordance with the provisions of the EU regulation, the customer's right of withdrawal does not apply to airline tickets, unless local law provides otherwise.
Fares
Fares quoted include all taxes, except where taxes are collected locally at the airport. Fares are only guaranteed when you have a booking reference.
Online payment
To pay online, you need a debit or credit card. The payment will be debited immediately from the card by KLM. In some countries, you can use other payment methods, such as bank transfer, Apple Pay, or local payment methods.
Payment is fully secured by encryption conforming to the highest industry standards.
If you choose to pay in a currency different from the one shown on our website, please note that exchange margin fees are non-refundable if you request a voluntary ticket refund. However, these fees will be refunded in the case of an involuntary ticket refund (i.e., for reasons beyond your control).
Special conditions for the USA website
In addition to our General Conditions of Carriage, the following article applies:
THESE CONDITIONS CONTAIN A BINDING CLASS ACTION WAIVER. UNLESS YOU OPT OUT OF THE CLASS ACTION WAIVER, IT REQUIRES THAT DISPUTES BE RESOLVED SOLELY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, RATHER THAN AS PART OF A CLASS ACTION PROCEEDING. PLEASE SEE ARTICLE 21 FOR MORE INFORMATION.
ARTICLE 21 CLASS ACTION WAIVER
21.1 Scope of Class Action Waiver
(a)To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Passenger and Carrier agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating in any way to your relationship with Carrier or these General Conditions of Carriage, including but not limited to your purchase or use of airline transportation or services, or any other interaction with Carrier, will be resolved on an individual basis. PASSENGER AND CARRIER AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR PROCEEDING.
(b) Unless both Passenger and Carrier agree otherwise in writing, the court may not consolidate or join more than one person’s or party’s claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The court may award relief (including monetary, injunctive, and declaratory relief) only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party’s individual claim.
21.2 Opt-out for Class Action Waiver
21.3 Severability
This class action waiver is intended to be severable. If any portion of this provision is found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
In addition to article 4.2 of our General Conditions of Carriage, the following applies:
Carrier Fees and Surcharges
All carrier fees and surcharges, including, but not limited to, carrier-imposed charges and the SAF (alternative aviation fuel) surcharge, imposed by the carrier shall be paid by the Passenger. In addition, the Passenger may elect to pay additional voluntary amounts, such as for extra SAF (alternative aviation fuel).
