Buy a ticket that fits your travel plans best – there are no wrong choices! Not sure which ticket is the right one for you? We’ll explain all options.

Choose your ticket

Our ticket options allow you to find the ideal ticket to fit your travel needs. We offer 3 ticket options for travelling in Economy Class on most routes: Light, Standard, and Flex. Next to that, you can also choose to travel in Premium Comfort Class or Business Class.

Are you booking an Economy Class trip with multiple destinations via klm.com? In that case, we can only offer you a Light ticket.

Ticket conditions

Note that the exact ticket conditions may vary per flight and per airline. You’ll see the conditions that apply to your specific flight when booking online. After booking, you can find them in your booking confirmation e-mail and in My Trip.

Depending on your ticket conditions, it's sometimes possible to change your flight. Note, though: if you have to pay a change fee and/or fare difference, we may charge this in the local currency. The amount charged is equivalent to the amount in EUR or USD, based on the currency exchange rate.

Light ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 1 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: not included, but can be added for a fee.
  • You cannot change your flight.
  • Your ticket is non-refundable.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Standard ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 1 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: 1 piece (max. 23 kg). Extra checked baggage can be added for a fee.
  • You can change your flight for EUR 70 plus a possible fare difference.
  • Your ticket is non-refundable.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Flex ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 1 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: 1 piece (max. 23 kg). Extra checked baggage can be added for a fee.
  • You can choose a standard seat before check-in opens.
  • You can change your flight without paying a change fee, but you’ll need to pay a possible fare difference.
  • If there's availability, you can take an earlier or later flight without paying a change fee.
  • You can cancel your flight and get a refund without paying a cancellation fee.
  • SkyPriority is included.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Light ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 1 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: not included, but can be added for a fee.
  • You can change your flight for EUR 200 plus a possible fare difference.
  • You cannot change your flight if you’re travelling from Europe to the United States, Canada, Mexico, or Papeete. This condition does not apply if you depart from the United Kingdom.
  • Your ticket is non-refundable.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Standard ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small and 1 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: 1 piece (max. 23 kg). Extra checked baggage can be added for a fee.
  • You can choose a standard seat before check-in opens when travelling from the US, Canada, Mexico or Papeete to the Netherlands or France.
  • You can change your flight for EUR 200 plus a possible fare difference.
  • Your ticket is non-refundable.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Flex ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 1 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: 1 piece (max. 23 kg). Extra checked baggage can be added for a fee.
  • You can choose a standard seat before check-in opens.
  • You can change your flight without paying a change fee, but you’ll need to pay a possible fare difference.
  • You can cancel your flight and get a refund without paying a cancellation fee.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Light ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 2 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: not included, but can be added for a fee.
  • When travelling from France or the Netherlands to the US, Canada, or Mexico, you can choose a standard seat at a fee before check-in opens. The same applies when travelling from the US, Canada, or Mexico to Europe, or from France to overseas territories of France or vice versa.
  • You can change your flight for EUR 250 plus a possible fare difference.
  • Your ticket is non-refundable.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Standard ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 2 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: 2 pieces (max. 23 kg each). Extra checked baggage can be added for a fee.
  • You can choose a free standard seat before check-in opens when travelling from France or the Netherlands to the US, Canada, or Mexico. The same applies when travelling from the US, Canada, or Mexico to Europe, or from France to overseas territories of France or vice versa.
  • You can change your flight without paying a change fee, but you’ll need to pay a possible fare difference.
  • Your ticket is non-refundable.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Flex ticket

  • Cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 2 x hand baggage (max. 12 kg in total).
  • Checked baggage: 2 pieces (max. 23 kg each).
  • You can choose a standard seat before check-in opens.
  • You can change your flight without paying a change fee, but you’ll need to pay a possible fare difference.
  • You can cancel your flight and get a refund without paying a cancellation fee.
  • Free drinks, snacks and meals are included.

Flying Business Class? Check your ticket conditions to see whether you are eligible for a rebooking or cancellation free of charge.

Business Class ticket

  • Do you have a Standard or Flex ticket? Your cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 2 x hand baggage (max. 18 kg in total). Your checked baggage allowance: 2 pieces (max. 32 kg each). Extra checked baggage can be added for a fee.
  • Do you have a Light ticket? Your cabin baggage allowance: 1 x small bag and 2 x hand baggage (max. 18 kg in total). Your checked baggage allowance: 1 piece (max. 32 kg).
  • You can change your flight without paying a change fee, but you’ll need to pay a possible fare difference. Please note that there are exceptions. If you have a Light ticket, you can change your flight for EUR 300 plus a possible fare difference. If you have a Standard ticket and fly within Europe, you can change your flight for EUR 70 plus a possible fare difference.
  • Depending on your ticket conditions, you can cancel your flight and get a refund without paying a cancellation fee.
