Boeing 777-200ER
About the Boeing 777-200ER
In 2003, we welcomed the first Boeing 777-200ER to our fleet. The world’s biggest twinjet has the largest landing gear of all commercial aircraft types. You might fly in a Boeing 777-200ER to intercontinental destinations, which may differ per season.
The Boeing 777’s twinjet engines equal 175,000 horsepower. Our pilots can accelerate this aircraft from 0 to 96 km/h in 6 seconds. Guinness World Records has listed the engine as the world’s most powerful jet engine.
Aircraft names
Almost all of our Boeing 777-200ER’s are named after world heritage sites: Epidaurus, Chichen Itza, Ferrara City, Mount Kilimanjaro, Galápagos Islands, Hadrian’s Wall, Nahanni National Park, Pont du Gard, Borobudur, Darjeeling Railway, Iguazú Falls, Litomyšl Castle, Machu Picchu, and Old Rauma. We made 1 exception for the 1st “triple seven” that flew for KLM. That one is named after the founder of KLM: Albert Plesman.
