Romantic activities for two

Although various languages are spoken on Aruba, the word for ‘sweetheart’ in Papiamento is probably the cutest of all: ‘dushi’. The island is an absolute paradise where old romances are rekindled and new ones born. All the same, there’s plenty more to do than getting lost in each other’s eyes. After all, special memories are also made by doing things together.

Romance on horseback

Taking your ‘dushi’ horse-riding is a fantastic experience. Stray from the beaten path at your own pace and together explore the national park and sand dunes. Take in the landscape as your steed gallops across the fine sand. Naturally, you can also arrange a white horse for your prince or princess for that extra dash of romance.

With your heads in the clouds

Those wanting to see Aruba from above without the drone of an airplane engine can sail the winds from under a parachute. The views are phenomenal: the entire island spreads out below you and you feel like a bird. The best part may very well be that you can take a tandem jump together with your better half. The instructor stays on the ground while together you spent 10 unforgettable minutes in the clouds.

Enjoying a spa treatment together

Getting a massage together is also a special experience. The upscale spas on the island, of which there are many, offer special packages for couples, such as enjoying a therapeutic deep-tissue treatment with essential oils side by side. If you complete the experience with a pedicure, you can once again show yourself in all your beauty on the beach – whether on your way to the altar or simply a relaxing beach chair.
