Are you a Flying Blue member?
If you’re a Flying Blue Ultimate or Platinum member, you can bring 2 extra pieces of checked baggage free of charge on KLM and Air France flights. As a Gold or Silver member, you can always check in 1 extra piece of baggage for free on these flights.
Excess baggage fee
Before you leave for the airport, make sure that your luggage meets the requirements to avoid any unwelcome surprises. If you did pack a little more than expected and it turns out that your baggage is heavier or larger than allowed, we’ll have to charge an excess fee.
The maximum weight of excess baggage is 32 kg (70.5 lb). The maximum size (length + width + height) is 300 cm (118 in).

Unfortunately, we cannot transport the following:
- Items that weigh more than 32 kg (70.5 lb)
- Items larger than 300 cm (118 in) (length + width + height)
- More than 10 pieces of checked baggage per passenger
