Cabin baggage allowance

You can always take a small bag and hand baggage on your KLM flight for free. Learn more about your cabin baggage allowance and start your trip with ease.

Limited space in overhead bins

On full flights, we may ask you to check in your hand baggage at the gate for free – even though it meets our requirements. Don’t worry, you can always bring a small bag on your flight.

If we know in advance that there won't be enough space in the overhead bins, you'll receive a message asking you to check in your hand baggage at the check-in desk. Of course, this is free of charge. We advise you to pack any travel essentials, such as medicines, in your small bag, just in case.
